My real estate career began at 6 years old in Atlanta, Georgia. My Mother would take my 5 brothers and I to investigate new developments around Atlanta, an inexpensive way to entertain six children and provide a learning opportunity about construction from the “ground up”. The smell of fresh cut saw dust still ranks as one of my favorite scents along with fresh cut grass.
Those excursions led to numerous tree houses, a fondness for touring homes, new, old, open houses, new developments, appraisal classes, investment classes, personal real estate investments and ultimately making real estate a career in 2006. The tide had just begun to roll the market into a different landscape.
A FRESH APPROACH Instead of turning me away, it drew me in. 15 years in national and local advertising for major companies and personal stock investments demonstrated opportunity in any market...it’s how to ride the waves. My extensive background in advertising allowed a fresh approach to the market. Behavior patterns, demographics and understanding statistics was a critical facet of my job. Facts don’t lie. They paint a picture. Presentation and packaging add to the picture and cannot be denied in today’s market as a leading edge to compete and secure the key to your goal... Buying or Selling.
A business model can be customized for each situation, and it is a business. It can be your single largest investment. Emotions can ride high with any change, major investment, or new chapter in life. It’s my job to assist in balancing the business with the emotions in obtaining your goal.
DEDICATION & PERSEVERANCE In 2000, one of my three daughters had a stem cell transplant** from a baby’s umbilical cord for leukemia. Adversity called for perseverance and resourcefulness. Negotiating with insurance companies to cover medical care exceeding $1,000,000 often required me to sharpen my negotiating skills and develop a considerable amount of “outside the box” thinking. Interfacing with doctors and hospitals across the country, a network of other parents, research groups, and my own quest to uncover all resources for the best treatment and options expanded and opened my views. Most often, it was that one extra step, that one extra call, that one different approach that made the difference. Perseverance became a way of life.
Bridging my advertising career with family time, I wrote and self-published a children’s book. It encompassed research, development, strategic planning, marketing and action to transform a vision into a reality.
MOVING FORWARD I take my experiences everywhere I go. It’s natural for me to connect with emotions
that accompany a new chapter in your life, especially moving. My business approach blended with empathy allows me to help you to have a better transition from one chapter of your life to another. When my family went through our challenging experiences for years, people I had never met appeared. I could not repay all those who helped us but I could make a promise to pass it on. That promise I keep; I have a passion for what I do.
